By using Bitsit, you agree to these terms. They cover what you can do on the platform, what we expect from you, and what we'll do for you.

Eligibility: you must be at least 18 to list an event or purchase tickets. Listings must be lawful, accurate, and not infringe anyone else's rights. We can take down listings that violate this — including any event that misleads attendees about date, venue, or pricing.

Payments: Bitsit collects a per-ticket platform fee on every paid booking. Fees are shown to organisers before they publish, and to attendees at checkout. Disputed transactions are reviewed case-by-case under our Refund Policy.

Liability: Bitsit acts as the marketplace connecting organisers and attendees. The organiser is responsible for the event itself — venue, schedule, conduct, and delivery. We do our best to keep the platform stable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access.

These terms can be updated as the product evolves. Material changes will be flagged in the product or by email before they take effect.

We collect the minimum information needed to run Bitsit, and we don't sell your data — full stop.

What we collect: account info you give us (name, email, optional phone), event and ticket activity (what you list, what you buy, when you scan), and standard server logs (IP, user-agent) used for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it: to run your account, process payments, send transactional email (booking confirmations, event reminders, organiser payouts), and improve the product. We use a small set of third-party services — payment processor, email provider, analytics — bound by data-processing agreements.

Your rights: you can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask for it to be deleted. Email privacy@bitsit.in and we'll handle the request within 30 days. Organiser-event records may be retained longer where required by tax or audit law.

Cookies: we use essential cookies for sign-in and session, and a small number of analytics cookies that you can opt out of in settings.

Tickets purchased on Bitsit are generally non-refundable, with three clear exceptions below.

Event cancelled by the organiser: full refund automatically, returned to the original payment method within 5–7 business days. You don't have to ask.

Event materially changed (date, time, or venue): you may request a full refund within 7 days of the change being announced. Use the dispute flow on the ticket page or email refunds@bitsit.in.

Duplicate or failed bookings: if a payment was charged twice, or if you were charged but no ticket was issued, we'll resolve it as soon as you raise a dispute — usually within 24 hours.

Outside these cases (change of plans, missed events, transport issues), tickets cannot be refunded. Some organisers may allow ticket transfers — check the event page.

Buying a ticket: browse the marketplace, open an event, tap Add to cart, and check out. Your QR ticket is generated instantly and lives under Your Tickets in the account menu.

Listing an event: sign in, click List Event in the header, fill in name, venue, date, ticket count, price, and a poster. Competitions also need a prize pool. Your event goes live the moment you publish.

Scanning at the gate: open Your Events on the day of the event, hit Scan tickets on the row, and point the camera at each attendee's QR. Each ticket can only be checked in once.

Payouts: organiser payouts are processed weekly to the bank account on file. First payout goes out 7 days after your first sale to allow for any chargebacks.
